Just a few minutes North of Georgetown proper is the village of Glen Williams. Many of the buildings that stand in this pretty village today are originals. In the heart of the village, a former saw mill and electric power plant, both designated heritage buildings are now part of a complex that houses the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre. Over 35 renowned artists produce exceptional work in glass, clay, jewellery, wood and many more mediums. Every July, Glen Williams, or the Glen as the locals refer to it, plays host to Halton Hill’s Canada Day celebrations, with a parade through the main street, activities in the Glen Williams Park and the annual Duck Race which takes place on the Credit River.
